A warm and sunny 28 August

Postby BBQ » Thu Aug 28, 2014 7:10 pm

I actually managed to get out into the garden today and did a lot of trimming and some weeding. Felt good, and was therapeutic.

Some pics I took today:

Two days' haul of assorted tommytoes - whatever am I going to do with them. Each one is unique in shape and taste, and I'm not going to mix them together for anyone!

Sliced Black Russian tomato - a side salad to our lunch sandwich:

And - Swiss Chicken, on a bed of spinach, on a bun with mayo, with a thick slice of Brandywine tomato and fresh asparagus:

Wow...you certainly do have a lot of yummy looking tomatoes there!!

I think harvest season is one of the best times of the year.

I find that bowl of tomatoes as pretty as a vase of flowers.
