I filtered and tasted the liqueur I made after the 2 month maceration it called for.. Rather disappointing .... There wasn't any walnut flavour to it, the most dominant taste was the cloves in the recipe. As it came after the filtering it was a little too harsh and bitter, so I added more simple sugar solution to it. It did improve the taste a lot, but still isn't one I'd consider a sipping liqueur.. Ah well, it isn't horrible; it's just not one to go on my favourites list. Just another flavour to have in the taste arsenal to maybe find something it would work with in combination.
